Sharon Wylie Campaign Update
September 1st, 2011
Labor Day is fast approaching and we are leaving the summer months behind and entering our final autumn push for my campaign. That means the work is only going to become more intense in the coming days, weeks and months and I need your help more than ever. To date my team and I have knocked on over 8,000 doors and have continued to out-raise my opponent, despite his 5 week head start in this race.
I am confident that through a continued intensive grass-roots campaign effort we will win in November, and I'm proud to have your support in that effort. When I started this campaign I told my team that I wanted to have a campaign that was both high-tech and high touch. I feel we have accomplished that and I'm proud of the work being done. The conversations I continue to have at the door have inspired me to keep working hard everyday and to talk to as many of my constituents as possible.
I hope you will continue to lend your support to my campaign by making a contribution and attending one of my upcoming events. Your support will help ensure that I can continue our aggressive strategy of reaching as many voters as possible and build upon our continued momentum to help carry me through November and beyond.
Campaign Update and Upcoming Events
This week I met with local business owners, realtors, restaurant owners and workers who have been affected by the economic downturn in Clark County. The high rate of unemployment in Clark County continues to be a serious problem in our community and I have been working with a variety of groups to help address these problems for when the Legislature reconvenes next year.
I am proud to have recently picked up support from the Washington Conservation Voters, Planned Parenthood, and the Vancouver Education Association, among others.
