Be an 'Election Observer'

Here's a way to see what's going on at the Elections office and feel a part of the whole scene.
Be an ELECTION OBSERVER for the Democratic Party!

Each day as the ballots come in there are teams of election workers sorting and processing them.  You can watch this dynamic process in action.  Be an Election Observer to represent the Democrats and assure the process is being followed properly.

Training to be an ELECTION OBSERVER takes about 2 hours and never has to be repeated.  The next training session is:

TUESDAY JULY 27
at the Elections Conference Room #226
from 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM

It's Fun
It's Easy

Watching Obama Succeed

A great article by David Broder of the Washington Post.  Barack Obama has things moving forward positively.  He still needs our continued confidence support. Read in Word.

Here's a second good Op-Ed piece.  This by Leonard Pitt of the Miami Herald describing the Tea Baggers' RacismRead in Word.

Sizzling Hot Dems Summer Picnic

The Annual Clark County Democrats Sizzling Hot Summer Picnic HAPPENED!

at Leverich Park (map) on SUNDAY July 11.

2:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Hamburgs, Hot Dogs, Condiment, Drinks, and Plates are provided.

Attendees were asked to bring a side dish or dessert to share.

Saw you there!

It was a very good picnic.  Tom Scharf played guitar and sang along with Eric Tworivers and Deanna Ramage.  Tom Scharf donates his talent for candidate rallies.  They were a real addition to the party.

The food was tasty and plentiful and with all the amounts donated we were able to take 200 lbs to the Sharehouse in the name of Clark County Democrats yesterday.

Elected officials were there in force and available.  Candidates were nothing but inpired.  We are blessed with a most outstanding group this season. Thanks to all! [Ed.]
