Welcome Home, Rep Monica Stonier Event

County Commissioners

Commissioners Madore & Mielke

Recently Sen. Don Benton was hired by Madore & Mielke to be the Clark County Environmental Director.  A hue and cry resulted over Benton's lack of qualifications, the apparent political cronyism, and the bypassing of a 14-year hiring process.

The insulted response to these acts continues.  Three considerations are in process - Recall, Raising the number of commissioners from 3 to 5, and Home Rule Charter.  A discussion of these considerations appears on www.ClarkCountyFirst.com for additional information.

See his slides here.

Here's a little primer on SOCIAL SECURITY and your right to it.  It's not an entitlement.  This is a searing column from Malcom Berko who is published in the Columbian regularly.  With the current flap on federal budgets and the possible cut to Social Security, it's important to uphold Social Security benefits as our earned money and not en 'entitlement'.  Enjoy the Berko column
