49th Legislative District Town Hall Meeting

...at the Clark Public Service Building in Commissioners Meeting Room on the 6th Floor, 1300 Franklin Street, downtown Vancouver.

Senator Craig Pridemore and Representative Jim Moeller will present Representative Bill Fromhold with gift of appreciation for his years of service.

49th District legislators, Democratic Reps. Bill Fromhold and Jim Moeller and Sen. Craig Pridemore, will have their annual pre-session town hall in the sixth-floor commissioner room at the Clark County Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin, from 10 a.m to noon On Jan. 12. The session is wide open to the public including residents of legislative districts that suffer a paucity of Democratic legislators.

(The 49th LDDCC will have its January meeting from 9 to 10 a.m. before the town hall in the same location rather than at 9:30 a.m. out at the breakfast buffet.)

The Mature Learning Campaign Forum on Senior Issues on October 19th at 3
PM at Foster Auditorium.

"The Mature Learning Program is sponsoring an afternoon Campaign Forum on
Oct 19, from 3:00 to 5:00pm, at Foster Auditorium, on the Clark College
campus. We would like as many candidates as possible to show up and speak for
5 minutes to the crowd about Senior Issues of your choice. Could you take
part in this? For senior citizens, having a Forum during afternoon hours is
best, as many do not wish to drive after dark, when so many community forums
are generally scheduled. We ask that you contact us as to your availability

5:30 - 7:30 PM, April 13th on the 6th Floor of the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St, Vancouver.
* This is not a Democratic event, but we are happy to put it on our calendar as a service to our readers.

Issues, including proposed county ordinances for protecting wetlands, habitat, parks and greenways, as well as opportunities for environmenal stewardship, will be on the table for the first forum April 13th.

"We will start by exchanging ideas and information about what is happening and what needs to happen on the environmental front," Stuart said Friday. "Last year I held similar forums on location-specific issues and controversies. This year I want to look at emerging issues that concern people."
