We’re assembling a fantastic auction to raise more funds than ever in this incredibly important election year. Help us go from “Our House to the Statehouse to the White House” by donating or helping us create some amazing packages. Here are the sorts of things we’re looking for:

  • The (Audacity of) Hope and Dreams (from My Father) Obama-rama Basket filled with items from Hawaii, Illinois, Kansas, Indonesia, and Kenya
  • The Living History Experience Hillary Basket with items from (It Takes a) Village(s) in Illinois, Arkansas, Massachusetts, DC, and New York
  • Chris Gregoire-eous Dinner—meal featuring menu of food items from around the great state of Washington

What Do You Have? Offer to Share:

  • A fabulous collection (toy cars, dolls, sports items, teacups, political or community memorabilia) Would you be willing to host a special viewing event/dinner?
  • An area of expertise or knowledge (wills, wine, bread baking, tax preparation)

  • A great home or office location in which to host an event, meal, or reception
  • A place at the beach, mountains for a weekend getaway
  • Access to special shopping opportunities like the Nike employees store

What Can You Do? Offer a Service:

  • Contribute hours of sewing or alterations to empty someone else’s mending basket.
  • Pruning or garden design
  • Culinarily inspired? Do a Greek, Italian, French, or African dinner
  • Like to cook? Offer a soup/salad/bread or other “meal of the month” along with home delivery (this is fun to do with a group of friends)
  • Pet care, housesitting, plant watering, rides to the airport
  • Lead a theme tour—local geology, gardens, historic homes (or talk a friend into it)

Lack time to think about this but committed to helping out? Buy a VISA gift card or gas card. Your Procurement Committee will creatively pair your generous donation with something else.

And we’re also open to other great ideas, of course! To donate items, contact any
